Gina Marie Rios

Pencil and an apple

Welcome to my Mrs. G. Rios’ Webpage

Hello students and parents! My name is Gina Marie Rios and I will be your children’s 4th grade teacher this school year. I will be teaching all ELAR, which means Reading, Spelling, Grammar and Writing. I have been employed almost 19 years with RGCCISD. I started off as a teacher-aide and then obtained my Bachelor’s in Education a couple of years after from the University of Texas Pan American. While teaching for a few years, I continued my education and received a masters in Reading at UTPA as well. I started my teaching profession here at John and Olive Hinojosa Elementary in 2nd Grade, where I taught all subjects. I then had the pleasure of working in Kindergarten for several years, where I enjoyed teaching the little ones very much. This year, in 4th Grade, I am proud to say that most of the students enlisted for this school year are all very familiar. Most students are from that Kindergarten generation I taught years ago!

We know how difficult and different these past school years have been. It has not been easy for anyone, but together I know WE can  overcome any obstacle that we encounter.  I’m excited to Welcome you to the 2021-2022 School Year. I’m thrilled to share a new learning experience with all of you. Some things to keep in mind: Always stay positive, always try your best and never , ever give up...Because giving up is not an option! Please know that I am here for you as parents and especially for my students. I promise to care for them as if they were my own and to share as much knowledge as possible! Together we can achieve even the impossible...
